Why is there no hot water?▼
On an electric heater it’s usually a failed element or thermostat, or a tripped breaker; on gas, a pilot or thermocouple problem or a failed gas valve. On a tankless unit, an error code or scale in the heat exchanger. Check the breaker or pilot first; if that isn’t it, call and we’ll diagnose it properly.
Why is my water heater making popping or rumbling noises?▼
That’s sediment from Austin’s hard water boiling under the burner or element. It makes the heater work harder and shortens its life. A flush usually fixes it — if the sediment has been there for years, we’ll tell you honestly how much life is left.
Should I repair or replace my water heater?▼
A tank leaking from its body can’t be repaired. A younger heater with a failed part is usually worth fixing. Between those, we look at age, condition and hard-water wear and give you both prices — the choice is yours.
Do you repair tankless water heaters?▼
Yes — error codes, flow problems, ignition faults and descaling. Tankless units in hard-water areas need periodic descaling to keep working; we can set you up with a schedule.
Is a leaking water heater an emergency?▼
Yes. Close the cold-water valve on top of the unit, switch off its power or gas, and call. We’re open 24 hours.
