Pricing GuideDrain Problem

Two clogged drains can be very different jobs. Rather than quote a number that won’t match your situation, here’s what actually moves the price — so a quote makes sense when you get one.
A cable auger punches a hole through the clog and restores flow — right for most one-off blockages. Hydro-jetting scours the whole pipe wall clean with high-pressure water — the answer when the same line keeps clogging. Jetting costs more up front and can be the cheaper choice over a few years of repeat clogs.
If a line clogs repeatedly, a camera inspection finds out why — roots, a sag holding water, or a break. Paying to clear the same symptom every few months without ever seeing the cause is the most expensive option of all.
The honest answer to “what does drain cleaning cost?” is “it depends on where and why” — and a straight-shooting plumber will tell you both before starting.
